Every office or business setup require their staff to be trained and prepared for their assigned tasks. For that, some offices rent available spaces outside to conduct their training while others conduct their training within the office itself. However, this can be disruptive to the operations of the office, especially if there is no proper area in the office to carry out such a training session. Hence, we take a look at some reasons why training sessions and office spaces should be kept away from the actual office space:
Training sessions and office space should be kept apart since both require focused attention and follow a proper schedule. If training sessions are kept at the office space, it will distract both the employees and the trainees. If the walls are thin, you can hear every single word from the prevalent training session in the next room and that can be a big distraction. Sometimes you might need multimedia to aid in learning, which may be absent in your office space.
It takes up office space
If the training sessions are held at the office, they will occupy a certain room, inevitably. It will again cause disruption in the dynamics of the office. Imagine if the sessions are in progress in the conference room every day only from 4-6 pm. The room will be occupied for these 2 hours daily, hindering the office needs. This space could be used to contain other equipment or office needs, or even to expand the working area to accommodate a bigger team. If such training are only held for a few hours every week, you are better off getting a training room rental for a more efficient use of your office space.
Utilization of office equipment
Most training sessions require technical equipment like an overhead projector, printers or computers. Again, these equipment will be underutilized if they are only used once in a while. This gives you poor return on investment of these equipment. It is a better use of your money to rent an external training room that has these equipment ready. Also, depending on your training, you may require a change or flexibility in the seating arrangement of the tables and chairs in the training room. This may not be possible for a meeting room in an office which has limited space or bulky furniture. Training room rentals are designed to accommodate to such needs. It will not be a problem to play around with the table arrangement according to your needs.
Hence, it is always a better idea to conduct the training sessions away from the office premises. It will prove to be fruitful for both the parties and you will not end up disrupting each other.
